Resorts World One returns for the summer vacation with sailings from Keelung and Kaohsiung

26 March 2024 – Having first deployed from Kaohsiung in April 2023, Resorts World Cruises is excited to return with the Resorts World One once again to homeport in both Keelung and Kaohsiung from 12 July until 27 August 2024. This year’s deployment will introduce a series of special 2, 4 and 5 Night Cruises for the summer vacation to the island of Kyushu and Okinawa in Japan, including to Kumamoto, Kagoshima, Sasebo and Nagasaki, as well as to Naha, Miyakojima and Ishigaki in Okinawa.

Riding high from last year’s successful deployment, Resorts World Cruises was at the forefront in rejuvenating the local cruise sector, as well as generating a high volume of inbound cruise tourists from Hong Kong, Macao, Southeast Asia and more. Last year’s deployment broke new records for the port of Kaohsiung with the highest number of cruises and passengers carried, totalling 138 cruises and over 199,000 passengers respectively. Additionally, it also injected over 60,000 inbound tourists to the Penghu destination. Overall Resorts World One’s deployment in 2023 generated a tourism output value of approximately NT$ 1.6 billion, contributing towards the overall tourism economy growth.

Due to the overwhelming public response and the ongoing support extended by the various local authorities, Resorts World Cruises will make a strong return this summer with not one, but two homeports in Keelung and Kaohsiung, which will enrich the selection of cruise offerings from both homeports, as well as further spur the growth of the cruise tourism industry.

“We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all relevant parties and the support given from the public towards Resorts World Cruises. We had created new milestones last year and together, we are confident to achieve greater heights this season. As a show of our appreciation, we are introducing a total of 14 amazing sailings this season from both the Keelung and Kaohsiung homeports to the Kyushu and Okinawa Island in Japan”, said Mr. Michael Goh, President of Resorts World Cruises. “With these new refreshing itineraries and convenient departure times from two key homeports, we are committed to delivering best-inclass services and entertainment with a variety of quality cuisines and offerings,” he added.

One of the major highlights and attractions of the Resorts World One is that it is the only cruise ship to homeport in Keelung and Kaohsiung with complimentary access to an onboard Chinese restaurant. Local travellers embarking from either homeport can enjoy delicious and authentic Chinese style cuisine and further explore a wide variety of international buffet.
